1. “Star Vs Food Malaysia 2” Launch
We were invited for the press conference for “Star Vs Food Malaysia 2” at the Regal Space, PJ Trade Centre earlier this week. The event featured appearances from new cast members, including Amelia Henderson, Nabil Ahmad, and Altimet. Well-known culinary artists like Chef Fikree, Chef Raymond Tham and Chef Nik Michael were also on hand. The celebs were grouped in pairs for a food plating challenge, which was a riot!
Following the massive success of its first season, the cooking reality show is back. New episodes of “Star Vs Food Malaysia 2” air every Sunday at 12pm on PRIMEtime (Ch 704), with an encore on the same day at 7.30pm.

2. Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2023
We attended a grand event dubbed the “World’s Largest Cooking Competition” – the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2023 – which was held for three days, from the 21st to 23rd of February. Aside from feasting our eyes on the mouth-watering courses made by participants from across the nation, we were also treated to a special appearance by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, YB Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, who officiated the event. The culinary magic on display was mesmerising!

3. A Quiet Place Grand Opening
If there’s one thing you should know about us, it’s that we love karaoke! We were invited to the opening ceremony of A Quiet Place earlier this week, and we can say that there’s nothing quiet about this place! During the ceremony, which was graced by a number of famous faces, we got to play some really exciting challenges – and one of our writers even went up on stage to show what he’s got!
The new, one-stop entertainment centre is home to these three concepts: Loud Speaker 2.0, Mini Studio, and GeTai. Located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, A Quiet Place offers fun for everyone. 4. Miss Universe Malaysia 2023 Launch
Miss Universe Malaysia kicked off the registration period for this year’s Miss Universe Malaysia Pageant for women nationwide. Fortunately for us, we were invited to the press conference, which was graced by none other than Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, the new owner of Miss Universe International.
What’s more, R’Bonney Gabriel, the current Miss Universe, was also in attendance! She was joined by two top five contestants of the 2022 pageant: Miss Curacao Gabriela Dos Santos and Miss Dominican Republic Andreína Martínez. Other than announcing their search for the next Miss Universe Malaysia, Khun Anne also made an incredible announcement: the Miss Universe Organisation will offer each Miss Universe her own Miss Universe Jet!

5. R+B Skincare Launch
Another day, another skincare launch, but this one could persuade you to buy the full collection! Hype was invited to the launch of Malaysia’s first circular skincare brand, R+B Beauty, which aspires to create a future where consumers can readily obtain skincare that promotes both human and environmental well-being. R+B Beauty is a homegrown beauty brand created to satisfy the needs of people seeking effective, natural, and eco-friendly goods.
We were very interested to see how this line differed from others on the market, and we were not disappointed! R+B Beauty launched its first skincare line with coffee. You read it correctly: R+B Beauty launched its Coffee Collection, all of which include recycled coffee grinds as a key component. When we say that the feel of each product in our hands was just to die for, we’re not kidding! They were delicate, silky, and smooth, and left no sticky residue. They’re also produced from all-natural ingredients, which are known to be beneficial to our skin. This collection alone could be a game-changer in the skincare scene. 6. Watsons’ K-Beauty Fiesta Launch
We witnessed the launch of Watsons’ first and biggest K-Beauty Fiesta “I Go Seoul” campaign, organised in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organisation. From 23rd February to 29th March, Watsons club members stand a chance to win a 5-day 4-night trip to South Korea just by spending RM120 and above on certain K-beauty brands in a single receipt.
Watsons Malaysia’s Managing Director Caryn Loh and Korea Tourism Organisation Managing Director Moon Sangho, and popular influencers Rose Nicotine and Tara Choi were at the launch. Rose shared a little about her favourite K-beauty products; while Tara successfully convinced us why visiting South Korea is totally worth it. Don’t know about you guys, but we’re already packing our bags!
7. Demon Slayer Exhibition Launch
We attended the launch of the Demon Slayer exhibition at Pavilion Bukit Jalil – and it was out of this world! We were able to step into memorable scenes from the popular anime, become part of the Demon Slayer Corps, and generally immerse ourselves in an experience like no other!
You can expect to see the 1:1 Nichirin Sword, a detailed introduction to the Demon Slayer Corps uniform and members, a special mechanism to create the Infinity Castle effect in the House of Demons, a 9-meter screen showing the battle of Mount Natagumo, and an over-the-top illustration by Akira Matsushima. Together with two zones that were newly added “Shinobu & Kanao” and “Mugen Train Arc”, it was a blast! The cherry on top was getting the limited-edition Demon Slayer Corps certificate by joining the interactive games on our smartphone!

8. Vertigo TOO Launch
We sashayed to the sky, where Vertigo TOO, on the 60th floor of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, is located. It’s a breath-taking venue for every big event, perched far above the bustle of the city. Vertigo TOO is Kuala Lumpur’s highest rooftop event venue and premium rooftop bar, offering unmatched vistas of the city skyline.

9. UNIQLO 2023 Spring/Summer Collection Preview
We got to attend the UNIQLO 2023 Spring/Summer collection preview and we can’t wait to get our hands on all the new outfits. The highlight of the preview was the latest INES DE LA FRESSANGE collection, which will be dropping on Friday, March 10. This LifeWear line celebrates the effortless Parisian Style of Ines de la Fressange, which, if you don’t know, is a symbol of French chic and a style icon for women around the globe.
