If you watch Hong Kong dramas, you’ll definitely know popular actress and Cantopop singer, Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝). Cecilia made her mark in entertainment history thanks to her dedicated performances and stunning looks. But, it seems being successful runs in her family. Just look at her elder half-sister!
Cecilia’s elder half-sister, Dai Pek Chi or better known as Peggy Davies, is from her mother’s first marriage. Peggy, like Cecilia, is in her 40s, and currently stays in Vancouver. And although she isn’t exactly a Hong Kong star like Cecilia, Peggy still seems to be living a very fulfilling life in her own way!

Most will know that Cecilia’s mom, Davies Shally of Chinese-British descent and her father Cheung Ren Yong split in 1989. Cecilia had been nine at the time. However, while Cecilia and her two younger brothers went to live with her dad, Peggy apparently stayed with her mom. Peggy doesn’t quite resemble Cecilia, as she inherited her pan-Asian looks from their mum. However, they do share traits.
In fact, while Peggy works as a real estate agent, she also seems to be a minor celebrity as well! Peggy is often spotted around Vancouver attending events with other celebs. As it turns out, she recently made an appearance at the opening of a patisserie. Christy Chung’s daughter, Yasmine Ross was there, along with former TVB actress Gloria Tang and actor Eddy Ko.

Despite living apart from each other, the sisters are still as close as ever. Cecilia always trusts Peggy to help her out when she needs it. Peggy was there when Cecilia bore her second son, Quintus in the hospital. And, during Cecilia’s divorce with Nicholas Tse in 2011, Peggy opened her house in Canada to Cecilia and the kids. Peggy was also there to help with Marcus, Cecilia’s youngest, when he was born.

Well, we’re certainly glad that Cecilia holds such a close bond with Peggy! It’s definitely something to be treasured. It’s also good to know that Cecilia’s sister is always willing to support her through both thick and thin. After all, there’s no better way to display sibling love.
