The saying often goes, “a picture speaks a thousand words”. In this day and age, those words ring true! After all, there’s plenty of ways to ‘fake’ something with photos. And local artist and Astro radio announcer Tha Jie Ying (趙潔瑩) recently had some fun with that!
Tha Jie Ying, better known as Ky Tha (赵洁莹) recently celebrated the 6th day of the Lantern Festival. But, among her happy photos, one stood out. It was apparently a photo of her ‘kissing’ another artist!
On 6th February, Ky Tha uploaded a post to wish her followers well. “Happy Lantern Festival! Oops, the new year has already passed,” she wrote. However, it seemed the artist also wanted to have a little fun with her followers. “Look at the last photo,” she said. “A viewer just happened to take a photo of… I’m… going to vomit.”
A quick swipe through the uploaded photos soon showed why. It showed Ky Tha supposedly kissing another artist on stage. However, she also alluded to the fact that it wasn’t a real kiss, just made to look like one. “Kisses in TV dramas are (done) like this, right?” she quipped.

Netizens were quick to jump on the joke with her. A few congratulated her while others teasingly condemned her. “Get out (of here),” one wrote, with another asking, “(Did you) forget to log out?” One netizen even praised her cheekiness, commenting: “The angle (of the photo) is well grasped.”
It’s certainly nice to see that Ky Tha can take a joke, and even make one at the expense of herself! On our end, we hope she had a wonderful Lantern Festival celebration, all kissing aside.
