BLACKPINK’s Jennie (김제니) has been praised by K-pop fans and netizens alike for her respectful behaviour and her modest dressing while visiting a mosque in Abu Dhabi earlier this week.
For those in the dark, the idol stopped by the city as part of BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink” concert tour last weekend. During her recent trip to Abu Dhabi, Jennie also spent some of her free time visiting some of the famous landmarks there – including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
jennie is at a mosque and it's nice of her to respect their culture. she's doing what most people who go there do, how on earth does this make her racist?! https://t.co/OKpZkrnMxx

One BLACKPINK fan on Twitter known as @honorslisa uploaded a clip of the “Shut Down” singer covering her hair with a black scarf during her visit at the mosque. Not only that, she also donned a pair of long pants and a loose-fitting long-sleeved shirt. The video has since gone viral on social media, amassing over 375k views at the time of writing (Thursday, 2nd February).
Many took to the comments section to praise Jennie for abiding to the rules and customs of visiting a mosque by wearing a hijab to respect the culture. Some of the comments left by them include, “So great to see such morals just wow,” “Halal queen,” “Jennie visited a mosque (in Abu Dhabi, and it’s nice of her to respect their culture,” and “She’s looking so beautiful.”
BLINKs, are you liking Jennie’s modest image?
