Of course, when Chinese New Year rolls around, the roads get clogged. It’s mainly because many people will be rushing back to their hometowns to be with family. Well, returning home isn’t only limited to those in Malaysia. Take former model Carol Chu (朱丽倩) for example.
Carol recently made her return trip to Malaysia for the recent festival. Of course, her family followed her, including her famous husband, Hong Kong artist Andy Lau (刘德华)! As it turned out, Andy kept himself busy here. In fact, he was recently spotted with the founder of Berjaya Corporation, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan (陈志远)!
Carol and Andy tied the knot in 2008 and four years later, had their only daughter, Hannah. Since then, Andy has often followed Carol back to Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year with their relatives. The duo were often seen spending time with Carol’s family and friends, or visiting temples.
In 2021, Andy revealed that their little family had returned to Malaysia in 2020. Unfortunately, due to the lockdown cause by the pandemic then, they were stuck here. Andy shared that they remained in Malaysia for four months before they were able to return to Hong Kong. At that time, Andy had accompanied Hannah as she did her classes online. He also shared that him helping Hannah with her homework had caused some friction between them.

Luckily, this recent trip home did not require him or Hannah to work on her homework. Instead, Andy and Carol went around to visit temples and landmarks! China Press later reported that the couple had been spotted at Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall in Kepong today (26th January) around noon.
Carol had been arm in arm with Andy, who was notably dressed casually and wearing a mask. The Chairman of the Berjaya Corporation, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan was also seen accompanying Andy around the place, alongside the hall’s volunteers. They certainly seemed like they enjoyed themselves as the group was heard laughing.
Well, we certainly hope both Carol and Andy had a good trip while in Malaysia this time! It must have been a sweet homecoming for Carol and we hope it was the same for Andy.
