Kenny Gorelick, better known as Kenny G, is returning to his favourite spot in Malaysia to serenade local fans. Originally scheduled to perform here before the Covid-19 outbreak, his concert was postponed a couple of times before it was cancelled.
For all those of you who have been anticipating his return, we’ve got good news! The legendary saxophonist has included our country in his world tour, so go ahead and mark your calendar – the date is 2nd April. As expected, the 66-year-old Grammy winner will be performing at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting again.
As per the official press release:
“Since becoming a household name in the ’80s, the musician has religiously practiced the saxophone for up to four hours a day, every day. Kenny has remained active on the music scene and stayed connected with fans. Apart from his many tour dates, Kenny released a new album “New Standards” in 2021 that features 11 original compositions inspired by the Jazz Ballads of the ’50s and ’60s. He has stayed current through unexpected music crossovers with megastar artistes Kanye West and The Weeknd in the recent years which attracted and appealed to newer fans.

Kenny G has once again proven his unrivalled popularity and how his music has stayed relevant for so long with a music documentary “Listening to Kenny G” specially crafted and filmed featuring his unconventional journey to the top, his legacy in music and the jazz purists’ feathers he’s ruffled along the way. The film, premiered on HKB, also details his Seattle upbringing and the massive success of hit songs like ‘Silhouette’, ‘Songbird’ and ‘Sentimental‘.”
