Happy Year of the Rabbit! We’re not done celebrating the holidays just yet! Following Christmas and New Year, Malaysians have been looking forward to celebrate the Lunar New Year this month! As per tradition, people usually shop for new clothes to wear as a symbol for a new start and fresh hopes for the New Year.

Don’t let your new clothes go to waste and take advantage of the gorgeous Chinese New Year decorations that can be found in our local shopping malls. If you’re not travelling back to your hometown this month, dress in your best festive outfits and snap those sickening OOTDs when you visit these shopping centres in town. With stunning backdrops to admire, here’s a list of malls to visit during CNY:

1. DA MEN USJ

Welcome the Year of the Rabbit with a bang (literally!) at Da Men USJ! This year, the mall introduced its ‘Beats of Prosperity’ theme earlier this week where shoppers can immerse themselves in the rhythmic thumping of drums and clashing of cymbals in gravity-defying acrobatic lion dance performances!

Together with Da Men USJ’s campaign partner VR Drumming Academy, shoppers can check out the magnificent display of 300 oriental drums where they can beat the drums for new year blessings with colourful oriental lions, surrounded by lush florals and lanterns that will be on showcase until 15th February.

So many exciting activities and promotions coming your way so bring your friends and family to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at Da Men USJ! Click here for more information on the ‘Beats of Prosperity’ events or follow Da Men’s official social media!

Pavilion KL’s Centre Court will be transformed into a spectacular oriental garden featuring golden rabbits, vibrant flowers, and hundreds of lanterns – and a centrepiece featuring a pair of Pavilion Prosperity Rabbits to beckon good luck and fortune.

Be sure to wander around the ‘Abundance of Prosperity’ bazaar to shop for rabbit-themed festive decorations for your home, hampers for gifting, delicious snacks, and delicacies. As always, there are lots of celebrations, activities, promos, and prizes for shoppers to check out so don’t miss out on them! Click here for more information.

3. INTERMARK MALL

Embark on a ‘Senses of Prosperity’ journey at Intermark Mall this Chinese New Year. Until 5th February, shoppers are invited to immerse themselves in the spirit of the festive season with elements to evoke the five senses – Sight, Sound, Taste, Touch, and Smell.

Shoppers can feast their eyes on the stunning decorations depicting oriental grandeur, and admire the work of internationally-renowned fashion designer Carven Ong as he displays his modern take on the traditional Chinese cheongsam on display at the Ground Atrium.

Looking for some hands-on activities? Midori Studio will conduct two workshops to engage the senses this Chinese New Year. You can find out more about the ‘Senses of Prosperity’ journey when you visit the mall’s official website.

4. FAHREINHEIT88

This new year, Fahrenheit88 presents shoppers with a “Blooming inTU” (TÙ, Rabbit in Chinese) Chinese New Year Celebration from now to 5th February.
