Getting married is a humongous step towards adulthood, so getting cold feet is common. The feeling you get when you’re about to share your whole life with the one you love, is of course, very nerve-wracking. So, anyone would understand if decisions change at the last minute – but better BEFORE than DURING or AFTER commitments are made!

Unfortunately, a Sarawakian man named Kerol got the short end of the stick when he was abandoned by his about-to-be new bride moments before the wedding. He shared his despair on TikTok, and many were saddened by his bad luck.

In the video, Kerol posted several pictures of his smiling self, and a beautiful, white – yet untouched – pelamin (bridal dais). The caption says: “The bride ran away. (I’m a) divorcee/widower for the second time.” He added: “The ‘pelamin’ is ready, but the bride ran away. My dream wedding is crushed. Lost.”

Through other videos posted by the same account, it was revealed Kerol is actually the father of a beautiful girl. Hence, why he said he’s a divorcee/widower for the second time. At the time of writing, nothing was revealed about the whereabouts of the runaway bride, or why she did what she did.

Scrolling through the TikTok comments, we found that many of the commenters are women. Most display sympathy and said that Kerol should be patient, and that the right one will come along one day. Some even showed empathy – telling divorced stories of their own. Surprisingly, there are even a few comments asking the man to marry them instead!

Whatever the case may be with the missing bride, it’s admirable to see Kerol staying strong despite all the hardships he’s endured in life. We believe he and his little girl deserve so much better – so stay strong, Kerol!
