Imagine spotting internationally known artists or celebs in your very own backyard. Now that’s a dream anyone wishes would come true, especially when it’s your idol. The lastest celeb to visit our shores was renowned British chef, Gordon Ramsay who dropped by at his restaurant in KL just last week, and fans had all kinds of theories as to why he was here.
While the city of Kuala Lumpur may be the place you’d most likely meet someone famous, let’s not forget we also have many tourist destinations where people, including celebs, would go spend their holiday. Just recently, Hong Kong actor Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) was recently spotted in Penang with his wife. Here’s what the couple has been up to:

TVB actor Ruco Chan and his wife, former Miss Hong Kong Phoebe Sin (單文柔) decided to spend their holiday in Penang, Malaysia. Last Sunday (11th December) the 45-year-old posted a video of him carrying several bags of ice-cold drinks with a caption that reads, “Don’t know what I’m drinking until I’ve been to Malaysia. When you’ve been to Malaysia, you can’t help it, but it will take a place in your heart.”
The following day, the “Ghost Office” star posted a series of photos of him and his wife during their trip to Georgetown on Instagram. From the photos, the couple can be seen smiling and holding hands as they visited the famous Cheong Fatt Tze mansion. The fun didn’t stop there. The “Wan Ha La” (玩吓啦) singer also posted another series of photos of their time in Bao Teck Tea House.
The official Penang Hill Instagram account also posted a photo of the celebrity couple when they visited the famous tourist spot on Sunday. Malaysian fans commented on all IG posts the actor posted with many welcoming him and his wife to Malaysia. It is currently unknown if the couple had brought their daughter Quinta Chan along with them on their trip.
For your information, this isn’t Ruco Chan’s first visit to Penang. The My Favourite TVB Actor award winner once came to Penang to film the romantic-comedy series “Outbound Love” back in 2014 where he played the role of Luk Kung-tsz.
We can assume that that the actor has made some good memories back then that he decided to bring his wife along 8 years later. How sweet 😊💕.
