Baby Shima has always been known for her slew of controversial moments. Then again, the local singer is never one to back down when it comes to dealing with her haters.
Speaking in an interview with Utusan recently, Shima revealed that she refused to be bothered with the naysayers who tend to put her on blast, regardless of what she does. She also revealed that she’s still confused by people’s skeptical view towards her.
“We cannot just shut other people’s mouths. If I do anything, even if it’s just playing with a cat, people will always find fault with me,” said the “Big Stage” alum. “I’m not alone in this case. Even Neelofa, despite her hijab-clad image, often becomes the target of backlash. Nowadays, criticism is a common thing. People can say whatever they want, I’ll just ignore them.”
During the chat, Shima also explained that she just wants to be herself on her social media platform. “I’m just being myself. I sing and perform as per usual. If entertaining others rubs people the wrong way, then I refuse to be bothered. I’m just going to focus on making me and my fans happy, that’s enough.”
