Some very lucky individuals have been blessed to be gifted something from the Royal family. Previously, actress Fazura and her family received a special portrait from the Selangor Royal family, and prior to that, this young boy from Langkawi received donations from the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor herself after he went viral for feeding stray dogs.
It’s certainly not every day that one gets recognised by royals. Most people would have to do some sort of service or contribution to the state or country to receive a form of recognition from Malaysian royals. This man, however, only left a simple comment on an IG post and take a look at what he got from our Queen.
A few months back, Malaysia’s King and Queen flew to London to pay their respects to UK’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The official Istana Negara Instagram posted a photo as seen above with a caption that informs Malaysian citizens about the purpose of their trip. Many left well wishes to the Royal couple to have a safe flight but one comment apparently caught Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Iskandar’s attention.
Content creator @hishamraus jokingly commented, asking the royals to buy him a Manchester United jersey while they were in London. Much to his and everyone’s surprise, the Queen consort, Tunku Azizah Iskandar replied to his comment asking for his shirt size but did not promise that they’ll have time to actually buy it. Fast forward two months later, the TikToker finally posted an unboxing video.
In the video, he explained everything that had happened prior to receiving his package. “I didn’t think anyone would even pay attention to the comments but suddenly the Queen herself replied to my comment using her private account,” he said. As proof that he actually got the package from Her Majesty, the box came with an official Palace greeting card and packaging.
Netizens congratulated the Mukbang content creator for receiving such a priceless gift from the Royal family. Some even suggested to Hisham that he should frame the jersey to flex whenever he has guests over. There were also a few who joked about wanting to try the trick themselves.
Apparently, the TikToker wasn’t the only comment Her Majesty replied to as she asked multiple netizens for their shirt sizes but it is currently unknown if they’ve received their gifts as well. While it’s amazing that Hisham got his wish, we highly do not recommend any of you to go on and spam the Istana Negara account asking for gifts.
