If you didn’t already know, Balenciaga has been in hot water over their shocking new BDSM and pedophilia campaigns. It included children clutching suggestive materials including bondage teddy bear and harnesses. This, in turn, has caused an outrage and people are demanding to boycott the famous brand.
In Malaysia, a video went viral on TikTok when a local man was seen returning his Balenciaga bag in support of the ongoing boycott. Here’s what happened:
A man by the name of Zaffy, had recorded his brother’s sulky journey from home all the way to the Balenciaga boutique outlet in a popular shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. The brother showed nothing but reluctance, and repeatedly shook his head as he returned the bag.
Although at the end of the video, when the brother had finally signed all the required forms for a return and left the boutique, he said to the camera, “It had to be done,“. According to Zaffy, his brother even got a full RM5,000 refund for the bag.
Scrolling through the TikTok comments, netizens are all proud of him for finally doing the deed – saying that there are plenty of other brands they can support. Some are confused about his actions, probably unaware of the recent news. Still, props to them for taking a stand.
