Shah Indrawan bin Ismail or better known as Tomok, is a beloved Malaysian singer and not many knew this until now, but he apparently owns a pretty famous bubble tea franchise called “Chatime” located in Setia City Mall.
Just recently, the Chatime Setia City Mall owner uploaded a video on his Instagram page of CCTV footage from his bubble tea shop. It shows a random man coming up to the counter and allegedly “asking” for money. What’s more surprising is that the staff actually complied!
In the CCTV footage, we can see that the black polo shirt man seems to be in a rush, constantly raising his hands to another stranger nearby (out of shot). The scammer quickly came just to ask for a change of RM87, when he never even paid in the first place.
Along with the footage, the singer also posted a close-up shot of the scammer along with a long caption explaining, “After that he kept disappearing, I don’t know where he went. It’s like (my staff) got “Pukau-ed”. I just want to do business, (but) he’s happy to come and take money. RM87 is a lot and it’s just one shop, what if he went to ten?” He then added, “We have made a police report. I hope this b*stard gets caught.”
In the caption, it seems that the “One In A Million” Season 3 winner has taken all the necessary steps to find and stop this man from doing any further harm. He has lodged a police report and informed the public. With this, we hope that the culprit gets caught soon. Great job Tomok!
