You’ve heard her on the radio, you’ve seen her on TV, and you might even have enjoyed her IG Live jamming sessions during the lockdown. Now is your chance to see her live on stage as the legendary, incomparable Dato’ Sheila Majid just announced her next big project coming next year in 2023!

History will definitely be made so don’t miss your chance to be part of it. The music icon is launching her comeback with a mega concert titled, “Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur 2023”, which also marks the singer’s first solo concert since 2017.

“Dato’ Sheila Majid is a legend in the music industry. Together with Altus ProHouse and our production partners, Level Up, we at JioBuddy will do our best to reward her fans with the best possible experience,” said Sean Ng, CEO of JioBuddy during the press conference held yesterday (Wednesday, 7th December). He added that the mega concert symbolises the revitalisation of Malaysia’s music scene since the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was also announced that the upcoming concert will take place on 18th March 2023 at Dewan Merdeka at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL). What makes this concert special is that 23 talented musicians will be onstage invigorating Sheila’s performance with their jazz instruments. The 13 horn players, 7 band members, and 3 backup singers will be led by celebrated music director, Mac Chew.

When asked why the upcoming concert will be held for one night only, the “Sinara” songstress answered that it’s about seizing the moment. “To me, it’s a moment that will only be captured for one night only and then no more. I prefer to do my shows for only one night and then you’re going to have to catch me somewhere else,” she said. The singer also revealed that they’re currently in the middle of selecting the songs for the setlist and fans can expect new arrangements for many of her hits.
