Everyone is basically at the edge of their seats right now waiting for the final results of the GE15. For the first time in history, Malaysia is experiencing a Hung Parliament and many are showing their concerns on social media. While others don’t seem to care about what’s going on in our country.
The majority of Malaysians are under a lot of stress and anxiety right now so it’s only natural for anyone to make jokes to lighten up the mood. A risky move, given the state of the country but actor Ben Amir thought it would cheer some people up by proposing that he’s “forming a government” and is currently looking for a Deputy Prime Minister.

After voting over the weekend, Malaysian actor Ben Amir posted on his Twitter last night (Sunday, 20th November) that he’s “creating” his own government. “I’m creating my own government. Looking for TPM. Preferably a gym girl, knows how to cook, will laugh at my lame jokes, has motherly instincts, pushes me to be better, and also a baddie *wink wink*,” he tweeted.
The tweet has since received 3.2k retweets, 701 quote tweets, and 11.8k likes at the time of writing. The light-hearted post caught the attention of fans and netizens who replied by saying that they were more than willing to apply for the position. While most netizens were happy to try their hands at the “dream job”, others were not very happy with one of the criteria which was “has motherly instincts”.

Some netizens felt disheartened after failing to meet the Gym girl criteria for the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 32-year-old’s “Government”. Meanwhile, as for the actual Hung Parliament situation, Malaysian citizens would probably have to wait for another 24 hours after the King extended the deadline for the political parties to reach an agreement.
