Happy Voting Day everyone! We hope all of you have fulfilled your duty as Malaysian citizens and cast your votes for the 15th General Election today. We also hope you’ve rewarded yourself with some delicious promos and discounts offered today!
For those who are eligible to vote, it’s very important to go to your assigned venues before the poll closes. No matter what important business you may have today, your number one priority should be casting your vote. If this woman can wait for the wedding bells to ring then so can you.

A woman was spotted at SMK USJ 12 in a beautiful white wedding dress earlier today (Saturday, 19th November) to line up and cast her votes for this year’s General Election. The bride caught the attention of fellow voters who were glancing at her as she was standing in the middle of the school’s assembly point.
Malaysian politician Michelle Ng Mei Sze (黄美诗) posted a photo of the bride on her Twitter with the caption that reads, “To the bride in SMK USJ 12 – thank you for voting despite it being your big day! Wishing you and your husband a happy married life together!!”
The 27-year-old Malaysian woman named Jamie Chai thanked the Subang Jaya assemblyperson, saying, “Voting for a better future. Doing my part! Thank you everyone for your selflessness and letting me vote first.” Jamie and her husband Jack had showed up at the polling station to vote after their church ceremony earlier in the morning.
Netizens reacted to the post after it went viral with many congratulating the bride on her big day as well as applauding her for prioritising the election over her wedding. Some even used her as an example of how one should be during voting day.

We hope that the lovely couple has cast their votes just in time to make it to their wedding. Congratulations to the newly-weds and may the outcome of the election be what you hoped for.
