For most people, getting married is the dream. They long to find a good partner for life, settle down and live out the rest of their days with their significant other. However, most people rarely dream of marrying their own family members. That wasn’t the case for this couple in China!
A woman from Zhejiang Province in China recently shared her life after marriage. The woman said she was very happy with her husband. However, to netizens’ surprise, her husband was not only twelve years older than her, but he was also actually her uncle!

“星视频” recently reported on the odd couple, drawing attention from many online users. Apparently, the husband had been adopted by the woman’s grandfather when she was six. They had no blood relation and were only related by name.
When the two declared their intention to marry each other, the family was quick to give them consent and their full support. It has been eight years since their unconventional marriage and the duo has had three kids as well. The woman added that both of them had evolved from having familiar affection for each other to love.
Some netizens felt their unconventional marriage was fine; great even. “Your family is really noble,” one reportedly said to the woman. “Your grandfather gave him a childhood home, and you gave him a home as an adult.” However, some didn’t agree with the issue, saying marrying a member of the family was still odd.

They aren’t the only ones to have an unconventional marriage. Another woman allegedly married her late sister’s husband after she decided to help look after her sister’s children. In fact, the mother-in-law had been the one to suggest the idea. The two are currently living together, but are hoping to hold a proper wedding soon.
Well, marrying is certainly something sacred to most. However, we’re not too sure about marrying our relative, blood-related or not. What about you? Would you guys be comfortable marrying a non-blood relation of your family? Let us know!
