Taiwanese actress Ili Zheng Jiachun (鄭家純) has been the apple of many eyes. After all, she’s pretty, has a good figure (which once caused a commotion) and a sweet but sensible disposition. As such, it’s no surprise that she has managed to capture many hearts. However, it seems her heart has been captured by someone else.
Ili recently shared great news with her fans. The 29-year-old actress is now married! Ili had reportedly gotten engaged to her long time Japanese boyfriend shortly after celebrating her tenth anniversary debut. Yesterday (2nd October), Ili revealed that she has officially tied the knot with him.
“I completed my marriage registration in Japan today,” the actress announced via her socials. She included a sweet photo of herself with her new husband who remains anonymous. According to reports, Ili’s new husband is named Akira and he works as a paediatrician. The two had met in 2018 when Ili went to Japan to study.
At that time, Ili had been looking for material for her live broadcasts. She ended up going on a date with two local boys whom she met through a dating app. And, lo and behold, she eventually fell for Akira. Unfortunately, at the time, Ili hadn’t been keen on having a long-distance relationship. “I don’t think it’s easy to maintain a long-distance relationship,” she had admitted. “It’s better to be friends first.”
However, a few months later, Ili decided to make their relationship official. The actress diligently practised Japanese to be able to communicate better with Akira. She found the older man gentle, patient and very loving. Akira had also allegedly helped her take some “private photos”.
Unfortunately, the pandemic soon split them apart. Still, the duo kept up their relationship and eventually decided to tie the knot together. In fact, their proposal took place in September when the couple travelled to Singapore. “I wanted to buy a ring before going,” the actress later admitted. “I was worried I wouldn’t like what he bought.”
Still, ring aside, Ili loves and appreciates her new hubby very much. “He understood my thoughts, supported me and then proposed to me,” Ili shared. “He has always respected my ideas.” The actress added that her husband also respects what she does in her career. According to Ili, they have already met each others’ parents and are not planning to have kids in the next two years.
Ili went to Japan on 30th October, for their marriage registration yesterday. Their wedding will reportedly be held in Japan next year. The actress looks undeniably happy in her photos, much to the delight of her fans.
