After three long years of waiting since the release of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the latest evolution of the Pokémon series is finally here! The new Pokémon series has a ton of fun upgrades for gamers to enjoy while still maintaining the classic role-playing Pokémon video game.
The new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game enables players to meet, catch, battle, train Pokémon, and much much more! Scroll down to know the six fun facts you should know about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
1. Players Get To Mount Legendary Pokemon

Yes, you read that right! Legen… wait for it… dary Pokémon! The game offers Legendary Pokémon named Koraidon – exclusively for Pokémon Scarlet – and Miraidon, exclusively for Pokémon Violet.
Both are powerful Pokémon that you can mount and fly anywhere within the Paldea region. Where to go, who to meet, and what you accomplish is totally up to you. How will the course of your adventure with the legendary Pokémon turn out?
2. Meet The Newly Discovered Starter Pokémon
There will be a lot of never-before-seen Pokémon for players to explore throughout Paldea! According to the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet site, there will be many more new Pokémon roaming around in-game! These, of course, include the Legendaries, Koraidon, and Miraidon.
Players will have a choice between three starter Pokémon to start their adventure with; the grass-type Sprigatito, the fire-type Fuecoco, or the water-type Quaxly. Adhering to the classic Pokémon series, these three will also evolve to be even more powerful Pokémon! So, choose wisely cause you Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
3. Discover The People Of Paldea
There will be a lot of colourful new characters all around Paldea for you to interact with, adding fun and excitement to your Pokémon adventures. This includes new friends and rivals, new gym leaders, different professors (in Scarlet and Violet), and many more! Click here to check out the list of new characters sprawling around Paldea.
4. Open World Concept

The best part of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game is… drum roll please, the awesome new open-world concept! Players have the freedom to go on an adventure in whatever way their heart desires – doing missions, capturing newly encountered Pokémon, or even just simply walking around!
Together with their Legendary Pokémon, players are able to traverse the expansive Paldea region and explore every nook and cranny together. With the ability to fly directly to gyms and other hotspots, gamers will save more time when exploring the vast world of Paldea.
5. Three Grand Stories to explore

The new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet gameplay allows gamers to explore between three grand stories – Victory Road, Path of Legends, or Starfall Street. Gamers are also given the freedom to switch back and forth between challenges along the way. Some may continue to challenge Gyms to achieve Champion Rank, while others may choose to venture out as they wish, searching for the mysterious Herba Mystica, challenging Team Star, or just enjoying the game.
Along Victory Road, gamers can meet their friendly rival, Nemona, who loves battles and aim for the Pokémon League. On the Path of Legends, gamers can search for Herba Mystica with Arven, an upperclassman at the academy who is good at cooking. In Starfall Street, gamers can challenge Team Star, a group of delinquents causing trouble for the school.
6. Multiplayer Gameplay

Last but not least, the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allows multiplayer gaming! Gamers can team up with up to 3 other friends and explore the open world of Paldea together. You and your friends can join forces to battle and capture Pokémon or just simply goof off with each other in the vast Paldean region.
When you are out in Paldea with friends, be sure to try out the new Tera Raid battle! It’s a Pokémon battle between four trainers and one Terastallized Pokémon (where they go bling-bling!). These powered-up Pokémon are much stronger than regular Pokémon, so it takes all four trainers to bring them down. If you don’t have any available friends, switch to offline mode and battle it out with NPCs!
Our Thoughts
The visuals in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have been very impressive. The open-world concept allows you to go where you want and when you want to – with 3 different storylines to explore at your discretion.
The customisation options in the game are also more robust than previous games we’ve been introduced to. Besides getting to style and snap selfies of your character, players will get a kick out of watching the Pokémon Terastallized. You may also come across some unexpected rare Terastallized Pokémon along the way.
Having gotten a taste of the new game, we were pleased to note that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet seem to shake up the traditional Pokémon formula in more ways than one. We had a chance to try out the trial game before it was released so it’ll be interesting to see what the final game version might be. There are plenty of new features here to make us anticipate a new Pokémon journey once Pokémon Scarlet and Violet debut worldwide on Friday, 18th November.
