Dr. Amalina Che’ Bakri has been living a married life with her beau, Alexander Charles, since April 2021. In fact, the happy couple were blessed with a cute baby girl named Arabella Mia.
Being a public figure, she has not spared from nosy nitpickers on social media. Recently, Dr. Amalina held a “Ask Me A Question” session on her Instagram. One of her followers post a question, asking about the status of her husband’s religion.
The individual prompted, “Hi Dr. Amalina. Is your husband a Muslim or not? How about your baby?” The London-based Malaysian surgeon was understandably taken aback. She responded, “What kind of question is this? My husband converted to Islam 2 years ago and we got married in the London Central Mosque.”
In the same post, Dr Amalina, who made nationwide headlines for holding the record for the most 1As in SPM back in 2004, also advised the netizen to not be so judgemental of others. “Don’t be prejudiced against others. It’s not difficult to pray for other people,” she wrote in her response.
Of course, it’s always the internet trolls who make the loudest noise.
