When it comes to social media these days, it’s easy to get cancelled. Basically, the public won’t hesitate to call out any famous person for their controversy. Take the controversies involving these two hijabi influencers for instance.
Recently, two local influencers – Sabrina Azhar and Ratu Farah Diva – have come under fire over the posts shared on their respective social media pages. In case you don’t know, Sabrina has been famous for posting K-pop dance covers on her YouTube. On the other hand, Ratu Farah made her name known after a video of her with Aliff Syukri went viral.

Sabrina sparked controversy on social media after she posted a video of herself dancing on TikTok. In particular, a lot of nitpickers didn’t react too kindly to her choice of outfits in the clip. In the video, she wore a cropped light blue jacket, paired with a pair of white loose pants and hijab.
The replies section has since been flooded with plenty of unfavourable remarks from netizens. Most of them took to the comments to express their displeasure towards Sabrina’s “inappropriate” posting on her social media. Not only that, there were also a few netizens who questioned about the student’s religious upbringing. To quote one commenter, “Did your mom send you to (Islamic) religious school when you were little?” Others also commented about her boob size!
Whereas for Ratu Farah Diva, the 27-year-old content creator received negative remarks from local keyboard warriors after a clip of her going on a flying fox activity went viral on Twitter. In the video, Ratu Farah Diva could be heard uttering a bunch of vulgar words, seemingly due to her being too terrified of the heights. In response, many claimed that the influencer was “overreacting”.
After facing backlash from the public, Ratu later came forth and explained that the incident was unintentional. “When I reached the top of the tower, I felt terrified (of the heights). The words came out spontaneously. I didn’t mean to say those words,” Ratu said in an interview with mStar. She added, “How about you switch places with me, and try riding the flying fox, before reprimanding me.”

In the same interview, the TikToker also admitted to her mistake and apologised for causing drama. “People are probably mad because I’m covered in hijab. I will try to watch my mouth after this,” Ratu told the portal.
