For those who follow Dato Aliff Syukri on Instagram, you’d know that he enjoys doing live broadcast. The live stream can be about anything, from interacting with fans, to promoting new products, or making statements. Whatever it is, the entrepreneur has a lot to say and he craves the attention.
However, some of his postings have been controversial, like when he insensitively joked about looking for a second wife. Recently, the father-of-five is in hot water again, for not giving his wife his full attention during their emergency trip to the hospital.
Last night (Thursday, 20th October) Dato Aliff Syukri was in the middle of doing a live broadcast on Instagram when his wife, Datin Shahida, suddenly started feeling pain. The mother-of-five, currently pregnant with their 6th child, complained she was in pain and started bleeding. The “Baby Sayang” singer ended the broadcast but did not turn off his camera.
As seen in the video posted above, the 35-year-old still managed to capture the scary moments of rushing his wife to the hospital and even filmed her resting on the hospital bed. “I’m sad, please pray for [my wife and baby’s] health. Everything was chaotic, she was bleeding throughout the journey to the hospital,” he captioned. While most netizens, including fellow celeb Nur Sajat, showed sympathy for the family, some criticised the entrepreneur for pulling his camera out to film the whole thing.
Netizens called out the business owner for not prioritising his wife’s health and safety, saying that he shouldn’t have considered filming a family emergency for the sake of content. Aliff Syukri has not yet responded to any of the negative comments.
In the video post, the “Badang” star reassured everyone in the caption that the baby is doing fine but his wife will have to be bedridden for three to five months to properly rest and reduce further health risks. Do you think Aliff Syukri was wrong for filming and sharing the traumatic experience?
