It’s fun to try a different hairdo sometimes – whether it’s a new style or dyed in a different colour. Changing things up can be a good thing and you can always return to your usual style or preferred look if you don’t like it. However, things might get messy at the salon.
Have you ever had that nightmare where the hairdresser made a mistake while doing your hair? Once it’s done, it’s done, and it’s hard to revert. The more they try to fix it, the messier it might get. Unfortunately for Siti Jamumall, this was more than just a bad hair day. Or was it all for publicity?

Social media personality and entrepreneur Siti Jamumall recently did a live broadcast on TikTok of herself at the salon. In the video above, the businesswoman was visibly upset at the state of her hair after she noticed that it was falling off due to excessive bleaching. She then posted a short close-up video on her Instagram showing the bald spot on her head to prove how damaged it was.
The 23-year-old shared a more detailed story of what happened in a follow-up video. “[The hairdresser] (made) a lot of mistakes. I trusted him cause he claimed to have 7 years of experience doing this!” she said. The influencer alleged that the hairdresser left her hair in a bleached state for more than an hour, thus causing it to snap, leaving behind split hairs which look frizzy and thin, as seen in the video.
Siti stated that due to her damaged hair, she is embarrassed to work as her job requires her to appear on camera. Although she expressed her intentions to sue the establishment, she reasoned that they won’t be able to afford the lawsuit and explained she would be content if they can repair her hair properly.

Netizens had a lot to say about the whole incident with many believing that this was just a cheap marketing strategy. Director and actor Michael Ang gave his thoughts on Siti’s predicament as well. According to Gempak, the 46-year-old criticised the entrepreneur and accused her of doing this for publicity.
“She won’t go bald, trust me. People will do anything for publicity. The same with the Lesti Kejora and Rizky Billar case. I think that was just for content,” he said in an IG Live. The director even recommended his usual hair salon to Siti Jamumall if she’s as rich as she claims to be.
