Earlier on 23rd September, local media outlets reported that a senior citizen was tragically killed at her house in Taman Paroi Jaya. The victim, Datin Noraini Nordin, was found dead by his son, Asri Mazlan, with injury marks on her body.
A few weeks after the news broke out, it was later revealed that the victim was the grandmother of local actor, Farhan Asri. The young celeb took to his Instagram last night (Tuesday, 4th October) to expose the suspect’s face, apart from urging the public to help seek the culprit who had killed his grandmother.

“(I’m) asking for the public’s kind consideration to help me spread the news. I just want justice for my beloved Mak (his grandmother). If you have any info, feel free to DM me straight away,” the “Cukup Derita Itu” actor wrote on his Instagram. Speaking in an interview with mStar, Farhan later revealed that the suspect is still at large.
At the same time, Farhan also admitted that he and his family are still traumatised by the shocking incident. “Until now, the suspect who has family ties (to us) hasn’t been arrested yet. But, we still haven’t given up hope in demanding justice for my grandma, (especially since) I witnessed her condition after the incident,” he told the local portal.
In detailing more about the incident, Farhan said that he and his family had realised something bad had happened to his grandma when they couldn’t reach her the day the tragic incident took place. According to him, “After the ‘Asar’ prayer (right before dusk), we tried to call her, but she didn’t answer. We assumed that something bad had happened to her. We thought she fell in the bathroom, or maybe she fell down the stairs. (Also), my grandfather’s health is not really good. He has glaucoma, but he can still hear well and is aware of his surroundings.”
Farhan later revealed that his grandfather had felt something wrong when his wife did not enter the room to perform the prayer for Maghrib. “My grandpa called her several times, but she didn’t respond. He then came out of the room and screamed for help. When the neighbours arrived at the house, they found (my) grandma already lying on the couch,” he explained.
During the interview, the 25-year-old celeb also stated that the suspect had come to his grandma’s house several times to borrow some money from her. However, the victim was unable to provide a large amount of cash because she was planning to hold a kenduri (feast).
“Before the murder took place, the suspect came to the house several times to borrow money from my grandparents. When he came the second time, my grandpa just gave him a bit of money. Last I heard, he came to her house and brought some food. That was when my grandmother met her death,” Farhan revealed.
Our sincerest condolences go to Farhan and the rest of his family members for the loss of their beloved family member. May justice be served.
