Rémy Martin, from the House of Cognac Fine Champagne celebrated the launch of the rich and robust Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal—named after the royal approval granted to Rémy Martin by King Louis XV of France in 1738—last week (Wednesday, September 14th).
Said to have a distinct oaky essence, owing to the soft barrel toasting that gradually brings out the vanilla and brioche flavours, The Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is made up of eaux-de-vie and is obtained exclusively from the vineyards of Cognac, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.
Along with the launch, the French firm had also announced a collaboration by assembling a team of seven extraordinarily talented Malaysians in a film, showcasing the collective story of success and the ambition of the new generation that is pushing boundaries under the theme, #TEAMUPFOREXCELLENCE.
Aside from that, the company will collaborate with five of Klang Valley’s top bartenders and two culinary partners to create their own Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal-infused cocktails and meals that will be available on each of their menus.
Speaking of cocktails, the Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal makes an incredible Sidecar cocktail—a classic drink made with just 30ml of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, 20ml of Cointreau, and 10ml lemon juice poured into an ice-filled shaker. All that remains is to pour the mixture into a coupette glass, garnish with an orange peel, and enjoy the complex flavour with a fruity and spicy taste.
Nonetheless, cocktail enthusiasts can experiment with their own interpretations or a more well-known one, such as the classic cognac cocktail, Royal Tom Collins. If you’re interested to know more, visit the official website for the latest updates.
