Most of us probably had a nice weekend relaxing or doing things we love. However, for local internet celebrity Kiang Jau Sang (江昭上), his weekend ended with a fight! According to rumours, Jau Sang had been beaten for hitting on another man’s girl.

The “Malaysian Wang Leehom (大马王力宏)” himself later claimed that she was simply a stranger who he had spoken to. But, a netizen is now challenging his story. They alleged that Jau Sang had offered a sum to meet with the woman. However, not everyone believes said story.

A video of the incident went viral on 4th September, showing a beat down happening in a shoe store in Mid Valley Megamall. It was later revealed that Jau Sang had been involved in the incident as the victim. However, in the comment section of one such video, a netizen claimed there was more to the story.

According to the netizen, Jau Sang had actually asked to meet with the woman and promised her RM500 in return. But, apparently, the woman’s husband had found out and came to stop them. The netizen also promised to release more evidence of the issue, claiming they were waiting to see what Jau Sang would say about the incident first.

As promised, a video displaying more evidence was uploaded yesterday. The footage showed Jau Sang’s supposed chat records with the lady and a full recording of Jau Sang being beaten up. According to the chat records, Jau Sang allegedly asked to meet the lady in a hotel and promised she would be paid for it.

However, netizens felt something was strange about the story. Several stuck by their theory that the whole incident was merely drama created by Jau Sang. Others wondered if the video was an attempt to slander Jau Sang’s name.

Curiously enough, Jau Sang himself added to the confusion with his actions. The internet celebrity had mentioned on his socials that he had reported the incident to the police. However, he supposedly requested the police to not investigate the case.

Jau Sang later explained he simply wanted to let the incident go as he claimed it was a misunderstanding. “It was a tiring night,” he shared via his Instagram Story. “(Had to) call (the police), (do an) interview, give a statement. (I won’t be) accepting random invitations from (beautiful strangers) anymore.”

Well, we supposed there was a reason why our parents always said to be careful of strangers. Hopefully Jau Sang has a better outing next time!
