Having children and raising them means you’d have to be responsible for their actions even if it was an accident. Children are still learning and may not understand a lot of things which is why it’s the parents’ duty to set a good example for them so they’ll know what to do next time.
Celebrity parents are no exception to this rule. Just because the children’s parents are famous, it does not mean they’ll get special treatment. As for the parents themselves, their celebrity status also does not grant them the authority to boss people around to clean up their mess for them. Take for instance Dato Fazley Yaakob, who refused to let the convenience store’s staff clean on their behalf.
Celebrity singing chef, Dato Fazley Yaakob posted a video on his Instagram earlier today (Friday, 2nd September) where he can be seen mopping the floor in the middle of a convenience store. What happened? According to the caption, apparently his son Fierudz got sick and threw up on the floor. The 44-year-old decided to clean the mess up himself.
In his caption, he clarified that the incident was not recent as he was just reminiscing the time when his son was younger. The former “Celebrity Masterchef Malaysia” contestant said that he does not remember what his son ate that day but got sick as soon as they arrived at the store. “In a panic, I borrowed the store’s mop and bucket. I didn’t want to scold [my son] but since it was him who threw up, I couldn’t possibly let the store staff do all the cleaning right? What would you guys do?” he said.
Fans and netizens praised the “Biarkanlah” singer for setting a good example on what parents should do if they were to face a similar situation with their children. Some even shared their own personal experiences of cleaning up after their children when they accidentally made a mess somewhere. The store’s staff even commented that they remembered the incident that day.

While the incident isn’t recent, Dato Fazley did set a good example of being a responsible parent. Let this be a reminder to all parents out there to take better care of their children and take responsibility when the time calls for it.
