Do you have sensitive skin? If you’ve ever browsed through your local drugstore or pharmacy looking for affordable, good skincare brands, you’ve probably seen Cetaphil everywhere. As the number one dermatological skincare brand and the leading sensitive skin specialist in Malaysia, Cetaphil has definitely become a household name when it comes to taking care of sensitive skin.
But clearing up sensitive skin isn’t their only goal. Following a science-based approach aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Galderma-owned brand has officially launched its new Clear Skies initiative to do their part in saving the environment, too.
Cetaphil is reformulating some of its most iconic, and best-selling products with science-backed blend of ingredients – niacinamide (Vitamin B3), panthenol (Vitamin B5) and hydrating Glycerin. Namely, their Gentle Skin Cleanser, Oily Skin Cleanser, Moisturising Cream, Moisturising Lotion and the Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating lotion are now free of parabens, sulphates and any animal origin ingredients, nor are they animal-tested at any point during the manufacturing process either.
With their new Clear Skies initiative, Cetaphil aims to use smarter packaging to minimise environmental impact with their products. Utilising mostly mono-material containers and recyclable closures, Cetaphil will be using paper-based packaging made with renewable and biodegradable materials.
