It seems we can’t go a single day without something happening. This time, drama and scandals are abounding in our local internet celebrity scene. And it all started with an anonymous post.
A netizen recently claimed they were tricked by a well-known internet celeb. According to her, the person not only lied about his relationship status, he also forced her to have a threesome. This sent netizens on a cyber-manhunt before locking their targets onto YouTuber O2 Cinematics. Unfortunately, they apparently got it wrong.

The post first circulated on Facebook group Tantan Confessions Malaysia. According to the anonymous netizen, she met the celeb via a dating app. At the time, she was not aware of he was an internet celeb, nor did she know he was married. The netizen claimed she had only intended to meet and chat with them. But, not long after the two got together, she decided she liked him enough to have sex with him.
Unfortunately, she was not expecting him to bring his friends during one of their dates. The netizen claimed he forced her into a threesome with them, which distressed her greatly. Things got worse when she discovered the celeb was actually married. “I somehow became a mistress,” she lamented. “I wanted to kill myself.”
The netizen later added a few clues about the celeb’s identity to back-up her story. She shared that he was a YouTuber with almost 300,000 subscribers. She also stated that he had a daughter and commonly wore glasses. “It’s not a joke,” she wrote, as some accused her of fabricating things. “It’s a real story (which) happened.” Well, the information was enough for netizens to go on a hunt for the YouTuber in question. The original poster also encouraged them to do so.

Well, netizens certainly found someone! Based on the given clues, they were certain YouTuber O2 Cinematics from Sibu was the one. Unfortunately, this led to several netizens bugging him about it. This eventually urged O2 to respond to the issue via a video.
The YouTuber made it clear that he doubted the authenticity of the post. He pointed out that its anonymity made it difficult to ensure the person was telling the truth. Additionally, the situation was made worse when someone publicly claimed he was the perpetrator. “Someone actually took a photo of my YouTube channel and a photo (of me at a bar) and claimed I was the person responsible. I didn’t go to that bar at all,” he added. O2 also stated he would be taking legal action against the slander.
After that fiasco, the original poster returned to clarify things. She stated it wasn’t O2 and apologised for dragging him into the crossfire. “I just wanted to vent,” she wrote. “I didn’t think there would be so many people paying attention to my post and spreading it about.” She also asked other netizens to stop harassing people. “I’ve called the police to confront (the YouTuber),” she said. “But I can guarantee he won’t (improve).”

Clearly, keeping things anonymous has its pros and cons. On one hand, we do understand why the female netizen chose to share her story online. However, this does allow others to get hurt in the crossfire if we aren’t careful.
