It’s important for teachers to set a good example for their students and behave accordingly. However, it seems pretty rare to find good teachers nowadays with cases such as a teacher going live on TikTok in the middle of class and another using offensive words to their students.
In a recent viral TikTok video, a practical teacher from UPSI was accused of sexualising his students while conducting his Teacher Apprenticeship Program (PPG) in a school. The video posted by TikTok user @zeeq.f claimed to have sexual elements directed towards the students, which caused an uproar among netizens who found the video unpleasant.

The original video had since been taken down by the owner after being criticized severely. However, screenshots of the video has been circulating across other social media platforms. This had caused a misunderstanding among netizens, which left them to wonder what was the actual content of the video.
According to the post, the teacher had shown his point of view (POV) when teaching his students in which he becomes speechless and tongue-tied when he catches his students staring at him. Some netizens were quick to call him out in the comments stating that the video was creepy. In response, the teacher had just laughed.
Yesterday (Thursday, 4th August), the owner had uploaded on apology video and explained that the screenshots on social media does not show the full video which led to social media users having the wrong idea. He went on to explain that he actually felt shy when he sees his students staring at him, clarifying to those who suspected that his video was encouraging ‘grooming’ behaviour.
