If you’re a K-pop fan (or more importantly – SuJu fans: ELFs), you may have noticed #SS9inKL trending on social media. Is Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) coming to Kuala Lumpur you asked? Well, you’re absolutely right!
Don’t just take our word for it though. This announcement comes exclusively from members Eunhyuk (은혁) and Donghae (동해) themselves! During a recent podcast episode, the duo were seen talking about the group’s upcoming “Super Show 9” tour around Asia and spilled some details on it.

In the snippet, Eunhyuk mentioned that Kuala Lumpur is definitely included in one of the Super Junior concerts to come. “Ah Malaysia… Memories are coming back from our previous shows,” he said. “We have to return there and meet everyone in Asia.” Fellow bandmate Donghae agreed and chimed in, “It won’t be long now.” Although nothing official has been announced yet, the K-pop stars can confirm this much – Super Junior WILL be holding the “Super Show 9” in Malaysia.
In case you don’t remember, SuJu was supposed to hold their “Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 8: Infinite Time in Kuala Lumpur” at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on 1st March 2020. But like every other concert that was postponed and eventually cancelled, the band had to say “Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry” to fans as the whole world went into lockdown.

The good news is, concerts are swiftly picking up with new concerts being announced every few weeks. Interestingly, the snippet of Eunhyuk and Donghae’s conversation was also re-shared on StarPlanet (星艺娱乐)’s Facebook. The local organiser was previously responsible for organising Super Junior’s 2020 concert, so it’s nice to see that they are picking things up where it left off.
