Local actress Nora Danish took to her Instagram to share with her followers her first-time experience having dinner at the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill restaurant in Sunway Resort recently.
Of course, the stunning celeb didn’t come to the fancy restaurant owned by the renowned British chef alone! She was accompanied by her beloved husband, Nedim Nazri, as well as their kids.
“Our first time dining at @gordonramsaybarandgrillkl. The food was amazing. The highlight for us was the Steak Tartare and Beef Wellington, yums! Oh yes, and the scallop was good too, and the oysters. Thank you @sunwayresortkualalumpur for the wonderful hospitality,” the “7 Minggu Sebelum Kahwin” star revealed in her post. However, it appears that the post was met with dividing responses from netizens on social media.
Many of them have taken to the comments section to question the restaurant’s halal status. “I have to address this. The Beef Wellington is definitely not halal. Not just because of the beef, it’s because the ingredient used (in the sauce) includes red wine,” one netizen pointed out. Another chimed in by saying, “No halal certification means it’s non-halal. Simple as that.”

While neither Nora nor Nedim have yet to respond to the netizens’ questions, we reached out to the restaurant and can confirm that Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill does not own a Halal cert. However, their meat are sourced from halal-certified suppliers.
