There’s been plenty of wild cakes over the years as people got creative with the sweet confectionary. Just watch any baking show and you’ll be truly amazed at how crazy and inventive some cakes can be! But, we have to argue that this ‘cake’ in particular takes the cake, literally.
Siblings Coco and Vivian Tong have had their differences. But still, siblings are siblings and Coco wanted to show her appreciation for Vivian on her special day. Well, Coco certainly went all out with a 9-tier cake, made up entirely of bank notes worth RM52,000.

Vivian apparently celebrated her 26th birthday on 20th June. It seemed like a small celebration, with close knit friends and family. However, the centrepiece of the party was truly eye-catching as it towered a good three tiers over the girls and was made entirely of money.
The bottom seven layers consisted of rolled up RM50 notes with the upper two levels made of RM100 notes. In total, Coco stated that the ‘cake’ was worth RM52,000. “(The) RM52,000 stands for 520 (Chinese slang for “I love you”). (My) love for you can only be proved by actions,” Coco wrote in her post on Instagram. “Happy birthday, my beautiful sister.”

The money cake was certainly a pleasant surprise for Vivian, who thanked her baby sister publicly. However, as the money cake can’t be eaten they also had a small chocolate cake for Vivian. Well, it certainly seems that you can have your cake and eat it!
