As promised, ATV talent Sit Yeng Yi (号佳丽) otherwise known as Ah Yi (阿仪) is finally in Malaysia! The Miss Asia Pageant 2021 participant landed on Sunday (19th June). Her first order of business was a leisurely fan-meet with durians as a treat.
Yeng Yi’s agent, Connie Lam, previously mentioned that she would be bringing Yeng Yi and a few others to Malaysia. They are supposedly here for work, but of course, all work and no play makes for a dull time. However, Miss Yeng Yi apparently claimed she wasn’t all that keen on coming to Malaysia.

The durian-themed fan-meet took place yesterday (20th June) in SS2, Petaling Jaya at 8pm. However, Yeng Yi and the winners of the Miss Asia Pageant were there by 7.30pm. Fans who had been waiting for them, greeted them excitedly and enthusiastically.
During the meet, China Press managed to nab an interview with Yeng Yi. One of the questions they asked was about why she had come to Malaysia. Surprisingly, Yeng Yi honestly admitted that she didn’t want to come. “The company made me come,” she stated, but added, “It’s troublesome to return to Hong Kong and be quarantined.” Additionally, Yeng Yi supposedly wasn’t affected by her fans’ excitement as she kept her cool in the face of their enthusiasm.
Nonetheless, her initial reluctance for the trip seemed to have disappeared. Yeng Yi and the others were seen happily enjoying the durian feast with others sampling the durians at nearby tables. Some fans also managed to crack a smile from Yeng Yi when they told her, “Ah Yi, I love you!” and sang a classic love song for her.

Although Yeng Yi was supposedly hesitant about the trip, she did share that she’s looking forward to visiting the water park. This is apparently part of their schedule as Yeng Yi and the others are slated to have a bikini shoot for the Miss Asia campaign video.
Yeng Yi reassured that she’s confident about the shoot with her one piece swim suit. She also previously added that she is not pressured about the shoot and feels no need to prepare or lose weight for it. Well, we look forward to seeing more of her and her confidence in Malaysia!
