Janna Nick has more reasons to be happy as her song “Gatal” is getting more and more international attention. The actress-singer released the song back in February and has since gone viral that people all over the world are using it for their TikTok videos.

The 27-year-old reacted to her song going viral in Russia and more recently caught the attention of Seoyeon (서연) from K-pop girl group Fromis9 who posted a TikTok video on the group’s account using the song. Adding to the list of K-pop celebrities that uses “Gatal” for their TikTok is none other than PSY.

Park Jae-sang (박재상), famously known as PSY, posted 2 videos on both his Instagram and TikTok where he showed off his flexibility by bending down backwards on a chair while a staff member holds his legs to keep him from falling. The “That That” singer appears to be backstage presumably stretching before a show.

Malaysian fans were surprised to find out that the song he used for his videos was Janna Nick’s “Gatal” but that wasn’t the only thing fans were surprised about. Apparently Indonesian fans tried to claim the song and artist to be from Indonesia in the comment section of his Instagram and TikTok videos.

Many Malaysian fans are trying to make sure that the song and artist are rightfully credited by replying to any and every comment that claims “Gatal” as an Indonesian song. Some fans commented that they’re fed up and tired having to clarify that Janna Nick and her song are in fact from Malaysia.

It’s actually not surprising why Indonesian fans assumed the song is from their country as we basically share more or less the same language. Another factor is that Janna’s song has reached international attention so radio stations in Indonesia have played “Gatal” enough times for it to be a hit there as well.

It’s currently unknown if Janna is even aware of the fan war going on but we can tell you that the “Perfect Raya” star was very happy that the “Gangnam Style” hitmaker used her song in his videos as she reposted one of his videos on her Insta Story.

In other news, PSY was one of the many artists that performed at the SVO Grand International Fiesta 2022 last week (Thursday, 2nd June). The crowd went wild when the K-pop star performed his biggest hits including “Gangnam Style”,”Gentleman” and his latest, “That That (feat. SUGA of BTS)”.
