Sometimes you can never tell if something is real or fake so when that happens, you can easily be fooled by someone. Scammers can disguise themselves and prey on easy targets such as children and senior citizens or anyone who is just gullible.
There are many ways to get scammed nowadays. From strange phone calls, to really convincing emails, to pop-up ads, to even a face-to-face conversation. This TikTok influencer claims she was scammed but was she really scammed or was it all for content?

Social media influencer Puteri Sari posted a video on her TikTok of her and a friend storming in a building accusing a group of people of scamming her as the cash she received for a paid review turned out to be fake. The video has gained over 8 million views, 413.1k likes and 19.6k comments.
The two women in the video accused entrepreneur Siti Jamumall of giving her RM10k fake cash as payment instead of transferring the money online. The 21-year-old threw the supposedly fake cash to the ground while she and her friend (who was also filming) continued to yell at the business owner and scolded her for lying to them before leaving the scene.
The Kuantan-born content creator posted a follow-up video like she promised. She explained calmly in the nicely-cut video that she was invited to Siti’s open house where they talked about doing business together. Puteri then showed close-up shots of the cash she received to point out that they were fake.

Netizens however are not very convinced if the TikTok influencer really was scammed or if these viral videos were just purely for publicity. Many commented how the yelling fest in the first video seemed scripted and that they felt like they were watching a drama on TV. Some even pointed out how the cameraman is always safe in these influencers’ altercation.
To add to the suspicion, if you were to visit Puteri Sari’s official TikTok page, you’ll find that the linktr.ee link is not even directed to her socials but instead will direct visitors to Dato Seri Vida’s socials. What do you guys think? Was Puteri actually scammed or was it all in the name of content?
