Hong Kong actress Carina Lau (刘嘉玲) has been very busy. Although she only recently returned from Shanghai, she still managed to plan and pull off her nephew Jeff Lau (刘兆恩)’s birthday party! It’s certainly a timely graduation as Jeff had just graduated from a top university abroad.
Carina shared memories of the party on Instagram on Monday (16th May), while wishing Jeff “Happy Birthday” publicly. They certainly had a lively time with Carina’s family, billionaire heiress Feng Yong Yi, Lena Tsang and other guests in attendance. However, Carina’s husband, renowned actor Tony Leung (梁朝偉), was not present as he has been working in Japan since April.

The party location was decked with bright balloons and a giant sign reading Happy Birthday. Underneath the balloon arch laid the main attraction of the party: her nephew’s birthday cake. The cake was a blue two-tier cake with decorations that were fit for an architectural course student including – blueprints, tools and a construction hat. As a nod to his career path of being a future architect.
Carina had always been an industrious lady who, in addition to acting in films and running a company for many years, had amassed a net worth of 800 million HKD (approx. 5.18 million ringgit). Despite the fact that she and Tony had no children of their own, some believe that she had bequeathed her money to her nephew, who may one day inherit these assets. Additionally, being a loving aunt to her nephew, she had also gifted him a brand new sports car as his graduation gift.

She also shared a photo of her family that spanned 3 generations – her mother, Carina herself and her younger brother alongside his wife, and Jeff on Instagram to commemorate the occasion. Despite being 56 years old this year, she still looked more youthful than her younger brother standing on the other side of the photo in a red and black checkered suit, with beautiful makeup, firm skin, and one hand in her pocket.
