Dato’ Seri Vida has apparently landed herself in hot waters. The wealthy businesswoman revealed that she had been summoned by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for investigation.
It’s understood that this came several weeks after Vida launched the music video of her new Raya single, “Muah Muah Raya”. The video features the singer herself, along with drag queen dancers, with all of them donned in colourful attires and over-the-top make-up (You can watch it here).
“I don’t know what to say actually. Regarding the MV for my song ‘Muah Muah Raya’, I didn’t promote it that much after watching Aliff Syukri getting called up by the MCMC (over his controversial ‘Kelepok Raya’ video). But just so you know, I already made the video way before Aliff did his. Then again, I still got summoned by them. So I have to go their office to get my statement taken,” Vida responded in a video.
The Qu Puteh owner added, “Currently, I’m not in good health condition. I have a headache. But I will still follow the instruction given by the MCMC. I just thought, what I did (in the MV) is solely for entertainment purposes, and nothing more. That being said, there are still those who lodged a report (about it).”
