In recent times, scammers have been coming up with several creative ways to lure the public into their traps. It’s concerning to know that many people have fallen victim to these online con-artists day after day.
Recently, Dato’ Rizalman Ibrahim shared with his followers an incident where his company’s CEO, Faizul Surani, was almost tricked by someone posing as the Royal Queen, Tunku Azizah! According to him, the latter was contacted by Her Majesty on Telegram.
As seen in the conversation posted on Rizalman’s IG Story, the sender (“Tuanku Permaisuri Agong”) had asked Faizul to transfer RM3,000 to a man known as Khairul Ikhwan. That being said, it appears that the scammer failed to deceive him. After receiving the text on Telegram, Rizalman immediately checked with the Queen herself on the matter.
“Please be careful with scammers. They have already managed to break into our Telegram (channel). Don’t be fooled by these online culprits. Luckily I doubled checked with the Queen herself. Forgive me, my Majesty,” the “Pung Pang Rizalman” host wrote on his post.
We’re glad to know that Rizalman and his team managed to take matters in their own hands. Hopefully with this, people will be more alert before making any online transactions.
