Joe Flizzow apparently has some pet peeves when it comes to Hari Raya fashion. A 50-second video of him offering some fashion advice on how men should dress appropriately recently went viral online. This has in turn sparked a huge debate with netizens.
The short clip, which was uploaded on sneaker-LAH’s Instagram account, showed the 42-year-old Malaysian rapper sitting on a sofa in his traditional attire, while casually recording himself with the controversial remark.
The former Too Phat member said:

“This is a word of advice for those aged 21 years old and above. If you’re dressed in full Baju Melayu set (with a songkok and sampin), please don’t pair it with sneakers. Don’t wear it with Jordan, Yeezy, or anything similar. Please, please. Those are for young kids. If you’re a mature adult, please appropriate footwear. Don’t let me catch you wearing Baju Melayu with sneakers, else I’ll come after you.”
A few felt that Joe Flizzow is entitled to his opinion, saying that Mr. President was simply emphasising on tradition and custom. Meanwhile, there were also others that were offended off by the “Ciao” jam-maker’s dislike for the aforementioned pairing. To quote a commentator, that’s simply Joe Flizzow’s opinion – if you don’t vibe with what was said, you can ignore it and just do you.
Speaking of which, what is your personal fashion faux pas?
