Kentucky Fried Chicken, or KFC in short, is perhaps one of the most iconic fast food chain in Malaysia. Apart from its signature “finger lickin’ good” fried chicken, KFC is also known among foodies for its variety of side dishes and snacks including mashed potato, bun, nuggets, and also coleslaw.
Speaking of which, it appears that not all KFC branches in Malaysia serve the scrumptious salad! The matter was first brought up by this Twitter user known as @aaygx a few days ago. She took to social media to call KFC out, questioning KFC on why the outlets nearby her home do not sell the salad.
“Why does KFC no longer offer coleslaw @KFCmalaysia? Whenever I visit KFC Bau (outlet in Sarawak), I’m told that coleslaw is not available here. Even the KFC chain at 101 Premier (in Kuching) has the similar issue. Why? Why? Why??????” the social media user questioned.
It didn’t take too long before the official Twitter account of KFC Malaysia issued their response to the netizen’s tweet. “Hi @aaygx, thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not serve coleslaw at certain KFC branches in Sabah, Sarawak and Langkawi due to logistical constraints that do not allow us to send fresh products to maintain our quality,” they tweeted.
Is coleslaw usually a must-have when you dine-in at KFC?
