Two things that many Gen Z absolutely love: TikTok and Starbucks, are collaborating! Who would’ve known how a social media could collaborate with an F&B franchise and come up with a beverage product?
Well, Starbucks know that their customers are a creative bunch and have allowed fans to create their own Starbucks drink by incorporating their own twist to it. To participate in the challenge, fans just have to post their video on TikTok, and hashtag it with #TikTokDrink.
From the challenge, two creative drinks were chosen by Starbucks to be officially launched in-stores from 22nd November 2021 to 31st December 2021; Purple Summer and Upside Down Honey.
1. Purple Summer
First off on the list would be the Purple Summer which was made by our very own local barista, @sophify_ on TikTok! Her video went viral and managed to gather more than 50,000 likes and views. It’s a caffeine free drink that was inspired by the purple hues of the sunset. The tartness of the raspberry juice in the beverage is balanced with the non-dairy milk and then topped with their plant-based whipped cream.
2. Upside Down Honey
Next, we have the Upside Down Honey! Have you ever thought what it would be like when your favourite Starbucks drink is made upside down? Here’s something that might help you to imagine. The Upside Down Honey starts with whipped cream at the bottom of the cup, blended chocolate with honey syrup, and ended with whipped cream (again!) along with rich chocolate syrup. Whipped cream lovers must be thrilled to get a cup of this beverage in their hands!
Talking about TikTok, they are introducing their first ever Tiktok artist, Fatia and her debut single, “My World Too”! And what we are even more proud of is that she is Malaysian born! “My World Too” will be available on every streaming platform on the 26th November 2021.
