Life is littered with milestones, which mark a person’s growth into adulthood. As a parent, it’s a privilege to be there every step of the way with your children. Even our royal figures will take time off just to celebrate a new chapter in their children’s lives.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong (RPA) Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah were seen visiting a university in the United Kingdom on 19th October. The reason for their visit? Their youngest daughter, Royal Princess Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah Athiyatullah has just entered university!
According to a statement issued by the National Palace (Istana Negara) today, the 19-year-old princess will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in art, design and media. She was accompanied to the university by her parents, and her sister.
The royal family were seen wandering the grounds and exploring the university. Understandable as the Royal Princess will be studying here for the foreseeable future. They also checked out the nearby shops and cafés available for students.
The royal couple are currently in the UK for a special visit. They are scheduled to return home on 23rd October. This is the Agong’s second visit to the UK since his installation as the king. His last visit was on 9th December 2019.
We’d like to wish our Royal Princess all the best as she begins her tertiary education! We also hope she doesn’t study too hard and takes some time to enjoy university life. But from the way she handled this “face mask issue” which cropped up last time, we think she’ll be fine.
