After struggling for several days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), singer Siti Sarah Raissuddin passed away at 5:13am today (Monday 9th August). The news was personally informed by her husband, Shuib Sepahtu through his Instagram post this morning.
The late Siti Sarah previously was reported critical and had safely delivered a baby boy after being put to sleep through intubations due to complications from Covid-19. During the live recitation of Yassin yesterday (Sunday 8th August), Shuib informed that his wife was in a critical condition and her oxygen level had dropped to only 40 percent. The sad news was also informed by Siti Sarah’s management company, Indigital Music.
“Assalamualaikum everyone. With a heavy heart, we would like to inform you that Siti Sarah Raissuddin has passed away at 5:13am in HUKM. Thank you for all the endless prayers and support to her since she was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. Al-Fatihah,” remarked Indigital Music.
The news of the passing of our beloved singer Siti Sarah due to Covid-19 has impacted the public apart from receiving condolences from various parties including netizens and celebrities alike. Among those who expressed their condolences was the Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah on his official Facebook page earlier.
“Condolences to the family of Siti Sarah Raisuddin and to all grieving families of Malaysians who have passed away due to Covid-19. Al-Fatihah,” he wrote. Other celebrities and influential individuals also expressed their condolences on the passing of Siti Sarah.
