To say that Curtis Fu (傅冠傑) and J-Mie Wong (猪咪)’s wedding day on 27th July was a roller-coaster ride is an understatement. Although we got to see the moment when the couple officially became Mr and Mrs Fu, many were not privy into the hours leading up to it.

After much anticipation, the 32-year-old YouTuber finally uploaded their wedding video titled “Foreign Couple Married in Malaysia!” last night. In the 17-minute video, fans get to see what actually went down on the day itself.

The visual kicks off with a stunning view of Klang Valley along with the quote from Joshua J. Marine that reads, “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”

“It’s today! We’re finally getting married!” declares Curtis in the car as they were driving to JPN in Putrajaya for the registration of their marriage. “Since neither my family nor J-Mie’s family can attend the ceremony during the pandemic, I’ve set up Zoom so our families can witness our registration in real time,” he explains.

During the video calls while in the car ride, the couple even introduces Zermi, the matchmaker responsible for introducing the lovely couple to one another a few years back.

When they arrived at the department counter, Curtis was informed that his special pass has expired. In order to proceed, he had to request for an extension. “So I have to go get a visa before 3pm. Then only can we continue with our marriage registration,” the YouTuber said before rushing to the immigration office across the road. Since the MCO is still ongoing, many places are still close and the public is only allowed in by appointment.

We can tell that things were getting stressful for the couple as J-Mie explained to their friends and family on why their wedding Zoom session had a hiccup and needed to be delayed. Meanwhile, at the immigration office, Curtis had to beg the officer for permission to enter. Even then, he was told that he might not be able to get his visa done on the day itself. One can only imagine how hard the waiting must have been for the both of them.

Thankfully, their prayers were answered. Curtis was seen running back towards the JPN office with his extended visa and to deliver the good news to his bride. Do check out the full video here:

Despite all the obstacles thrown at them, it is inspiring to see both Curtis and J-Mie not give up and their perseverance paid off! Cheers to a lifetime full of happiness and love y’all 😉
