A group of staff working at a KFC outlet in England found themselves in hot waters for violating the government’s strict guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a photo shared by one of the customers at the fast food outlet, the staff were spotted in public without their face masks on. Not only that, one employee could also be seen picking their nose right behind the checkout counter! Yuck!
According to the customer, only known as Charlotte, she couldn’t help but to be shocked upon seeing the guidelines being blatantly ignored by the workers when she entered the premise a few days ago. She stated, “It needs airing that big companies are just not enforcing health and safety.”
“Their staff member had a finger so far up their nose, they’re either digging for gold or just demonstrating how ‘finger picking good’ the meals should be. But no thanks, with the numbers of Covid-19 cases increasing and being spread so easily via nose and mouth, they can keep their pickings. It’s not good to see,” Charlotte told Cornwall Live.
The news was met with amusing reactions left by cybernauts here in Malaysia. Facebook user Faeiz Ilham II sarcastically remarked, “It’s not even safe for one to pick their nose in public nowadays,” accompanied with a LOL emoji. Check out what they said here:
After airing her concerns to the famous fast food franchise’s customer service, Charlotte also revealed that she was offered a partial refund for the incident, and explained that the company ensures all “guest-facing” staff to wear masks.
At the same time, the company also informed her that KFC provides face masks for staff members who do not have them.
