Bill Gates Predicts Two More World Threatening Disasters To Come

In March 2015, Bill Gates predicted that a global catastrophe would come in the form of a virus. At the end of 2019, that’s when Covid-19 hit.

Recently, the co-founder of Microsoft predicted the next two deadly disasters for the world. Derek Muller, host of the YouTube channel, Verisitum, sat down with Gates to understand what the future could hold.

As the current pandemic is still occupying everyone’s minds, there might be other disasters that the world isn’t prepared for. According to Gates, the two are climate change and bioterrorism. “Every year there would be a death toll even greater than we’ve had in this pandemic,” he said on climate change.

Bioterrorism, on the other hand, was a topic he acknowledged that most would not want to talk about. “Somebody who wants to cause damage could engineer a virus and so that means the chance of running into this is more than just the naturally caused epidemics like the current one.”

When asked about how he predicted the current pandemic, Gates stated that there are a number of respiratory viruses. Occasionally, one virus that is transmissive and capable of causing fatalities will emerge. He highlighted respiratory diseases specifically because “…you’re still walking around on a plane, a bus when you’re infectious. Unlike some other diseases like ebola where you are mostly in a hospital bed by the time the viral load infects other people.”

Although the billionaire philanthropist is optimistic that life will start to return to ‘normal’ in 2021 thanks to the vaccines, he fears that the world is “not prepared for the next pandemic.” He released a video on his YouTube channel suggesting ways to improve, but many netizens are suspecting a hidden motive.

Twitter user @The_Reaper2008 cited the global pandemic exercise, Event 201 which Gates had co-hosted in October 2019, stating “The last times Bill Gates had anything to do with a pandemic, that exact pandemic happened less than two months later. Something big is going to happen soon.”

Will Bill Gates’ prediction come true once more? Only time will tell.
