Malaysia is currently undergoing another MCO alongside new SOPs and rules for restaurants and businesses nationwide.
With that in mind, Grab will start making some initiatives to assist merchants on the Grab platform to deal with the loss of dine-in customers. At the same time, Grab will ensure the community can still gain access to their affordable and convenient daily needs safe and sound.
With a revamped GrabMerchant platform, merchants will acquire more autonomy to run their business online, when they are running out of supplies or are unable to deal with the orders. In addition, Grab partners will use social media as a way of promotion for their products and services using a self-generated personalised link that leads to their store via the GrabMerchant app.
Paralleling the above, when customers get more reliant on delivery services, Grab offers several efforts in providing better, convenient and affordable access to customers’ daily needs, while ensuring them to save on expenses.
Such affordable daily needs are:
- Delivery Fee being low as 50 cents.
Aligned with Grab’s ongoing efforts in supporting small independent SME merchants, they have reduced the delivery fees for a selective few Food and Mart merchants to as low as 50 cents. Compassion or love is truly needed for our hard workers during these trying times. Hopefully, for us Malaysians, we will not hold back.
2. Mix & Match food court favourites by paying only one delivery fee.
Grab’s efforts last year to make small traditional businesses go digital, now see them consisting of over 100 food courts as well having almost 1000 hawker stalls. Customers can still enjoy their food court delights such as nasi lemak, char kuey teow, and other types of meals or Mix & Match from a variety of stalls while only paying one delivery fee.
3. Unlimited free delivery for signature favourites.
From now onwards until 22nd January, customers can use the promo code ‘FREEDEL’ to have fun with a variety of cuisines from ‘Signature’ restaurants of their choice or favourites, provided with unlimited free deliveries.
4. MCO-edition GrabRewards MCO points back discounts.
From 15th January to 17th January, GrabRewards is providing 40% points back for any Food, Mart, and Express redeemable vouchers for more savings.
Grab urges its customers to schedule their orders or ordering food and essential needs early to prevent disappointment. Moreover, customers will be able to achieve contactless and cashless deliveries as citizens are encouraged to stay home safely to flatten the curve of the ongoing Covid-19 virus.
