Malaysians are currently waiting with bated breath for the announcement from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin with regards to a potential movement control order (MCO 2.0).
The question is – what time can we expect the Prime Minister to make his announcement? Astro Awani only stated that the announcement will be this evening but did not specify the time. However, China Press reported that Muhyiddin will be going live at 6pm.
Earlier today, The Star reported that “there are no details about what Cabinet decided but Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is scheduled to have an audience with the Yang Di Pertuan Agong on Monday afternoon“. A meeting with the National Security Council is also taking place today.
In recent days, 2 more ministers – Datuk Seri Mustapha Mohamad and Datuk Seri Rina Harun – have tested positive for Covid-19. Everyday, the number of Covid cases doesn’t seem to be decreasing. At the moment, many of us are anxious to find out what the new SOPs will entail.
Here’s how Malaysians are reacting on Twitterverse:

Q: Should 🇲🇾 have a second MCO?
A: It depends (on the data, area, duration, intensity). But this may be the wrong question.
New questions are:
1. How did we get here?
2. Can we still avoid MCO 2.0?
3. If unavoidable, how do we reduce impact?
4. How do we prevent MCO 3.0?1/3
