Mark your calendars fashionistas – UNIQLO DA Square is officially opening this week and kicking off with a 3-day special promotion.
Malaysia is currently the 5th country outside Japan and the 3rd in Southeast Asia to debut a roadside type store. The other Asian countries are South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines. If you’ve been to a roadside store in Japan, this latest mega outlet at Bandar Sri Damansara is quite similar in terms of look and feel.
Here are 7 exciting things about UNIQLO DA Square:
1. It’s a quarter size of a football field
Yuki Yamada, CEO of UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore remarked, “The 15,100 square feet DA Square store is carefully designed to ensure enough space and accessibility for all, including families with children, elderly people and people with disability. With its open and roomy interior, the store offers a refreshing shopping experience for customers. Even customers who are familiar with UNIQLO products can quickly locate what they want, with a full-range display of each product category and well-planned, easy-to-cruise sections of the shopping floor”.
2. The only store to carry the full range of AIRism beddings
AIRism for everybody! The cult beddings used to be available only online. Thankfully, customers can now have access to the full range of colours and sizes at the DA Square store.
3. Custom designs at UTme! corner
Besides UNIQLO Fahrenheit 88, UNIQLO DA Square is the only other outlet in Malaysia to feature a UTme! corner where people can come and customise prints for t-shirts or tote bags. You can either opt for personalised design on-the-spot or for any UNIQLO originals. Psst, the brand new UTme! X Mamee collection is also available from this week onwards.
4. Sustainability Corner
The fashion company is known for donating clothes and it now has a whole dedicated section to raise awareness about their sustainability efforts through the CSR programmes and green technology. For example, did you know that plastic bottles can be broken down into thread to produce a DRY-EX Polo Shirt?

5. The 3-day special promotion
From 18th to 20th December, the first 500 customers to enter UNIQLO DA Square each day will receive a goodie bag. Those who makes a purchase of RM200 or more in a single transaction will receive a UNIQLO U tote bag.
